English The Unit-‘Jack and the Special Beans’ was introduced with an activity ‘Movie time’ where the children were shown the movie’ Jack and the Beanstalk’ on the smart class.This was done to simultaneously acquaint them with the various characters and the different settings of the scenes in the story. The children completed the unit with focus on individual reading & comprehension. Taking forward the ritual of learning Dolch Words in the class, the Dolch list was given to the children & Oral drill of the Dolch Words was taken up in the class to help the children achieve reading fluency in the English Language. The recapitulation of grammar concepts like ‘Conjunctions’ and ‘Adjectives ’was done to reinforce the learning which has taken place in the previous months. Hindi छात्र सभी मात्राओं की यात्रा करने के बाद पाठ-पठन में सक्षम हुए | छात्रों को पाठ –“रिमझिम बरस रहा है पानी”, “वह अनोखी सवारी” और कविता “आओ करें प्रणाम” का पठन करवाया गया जिससे उनके शब्दकोष में वृद्धि हुई| छात्रों को २६ जनवरी में पुरस्कृत बच्चों के बारे में और २६ जनवरी के बारे में बताया गया | छात्रों से वर्षा ऋतु के बारे में बात की गई | छात्रों ने एक छाते का चित्र बनाकर उसमें रंग भरें | बच्चों ने वर्षा से होने वाले फ़ायदे और नुकसान के बारे में चर्चा करते हुए उसे अपने शब्दों में लिखा | बच्चों को प्रार्थना का महत्त्व बताया गया और छात्रों ने एक प्रार्थना को याद करते हुए कक्षा में प्रस्तुत किया | छात्रों को संयुक्त व्यंजन व संयुक्ताक्षर की जानकारी दी गई | EVS Students were introduced to the topic ‘Seasons’ by showing different pictures like sunny day, cloudy day and rainy day. They also identified the weather and the related season. Importance of different clothing and food habits according to seasonswere discussed in the class. The difference between National and religious festivals, including the importance of Republic Day and Independence Day was explained and discussed in class. Math The concept of comparing 3 digit numbers was introduced by a short number comparison problem. Students were given a number card to play the number race game to identify the before and after number. Number cards were also used to identify the greatest and smallest number. Students were asked to make a line height wise and then they were asked about the formation of ascending and descending order. ICT The students learnt about the different storage devices like CD/DVD, Pendrive, memory card, hard disk. They understood the difference between storage places and storage devices. The students also practiced typing in tux typing during the lab lessons. Indian Music The students practiced for Annual function. Western Music The students practiced for Annual day. Dance Students learnt story-based dance on Jungle book theme.‘Jungle- it’s a beautiful place’, showing the beauty of the green jungle and the animals. They also learnt about different characters of Jungle book like Mowgli, Bageera ,Sher Khan, Ballu etc and learnt the steps and body language of different animals like monkeys, zebra, giraffe, elephant, deer and many more through dance and expressions. Drama Students learnt various forms of acting in drama classes, like mood, gesture, posture facial expressions,laughter, anger and sadness with the help of a story and their characters of ‘JungleBook’ and also understood various characters of the ‘Jungle Book’, like Sherkhan- the lion,Mowgly- The son of jungle,Bageera- the wolf, Ballu- the bear while practising for Annual Day ‘Jungle Book’ presentation.
