ENGLISH Students completed Unit-‘I Like’ with focus on reading, comprehension, new vocabulary and writing skills.They made a picture collage on the topic-‘My Favourite Season .’The poem ‘Five little seeds’ was introduced through ‘Elo-In –Sync’,a small group and loud recitation. Students learnt the techniques of elocution by laying emphasis on articulation, voice modulation and intonation. The children enthusiastically participated in the ‘School Tour’.They consolidated their learning in the form of a picture collage where each one of them wrote about their favourite place in the school , described it in two lines and drew the picture of the same. Dolch list-2 was given to the children & Oral drill of the Dolch Words was taken up regularly in the class which helped the children achieve reading fluency in the language. HINDI छात्रों को ए मात्रा का वीडियो दिखाते हुए “ए” मात्रा का परिचय दिया गया और इसका उच्चारण सिखाया गया | सब बच्चों ने केक के प्रतिरूप को सजाया | छात्रों ने इससे दो और तीन अक्षर वाले शब्द लिखते हुए वाक्य रचना की | उन्होंने भित्ति पत्र की मदद से “ए” की मात्रा से नए-नए शब्दों का निर्माण किया | श्वेतपट्ट पर छात्रों ने शब्द निर्माण किया जिससे उनका पुनः अभ्यास हुआ | छात्रों को “ए ” व “ऐ” मात्रा का अंतर बताते हुए “ऐ” मात्रा का उच्चारण सिखाया गया | सब बच्चों से अखबार की सहायता से थैले का निर्माण करवाया गया और उन्हें इनका उपयोग बताते हुए स्वच्छ भारत अभियान के बारे में बताया गया | बच्चों ने दो और तीन अक्षर वाले शब्द लिखते हुए वाक्य रचना की | छात्रों को पाठ –“फिसला केशव” और “भैया की रेल” का पठन करवाकर पाठ का अभ्यास-कार्य करवाया गया | छात्रों को फलों के नाम सिखाए गए | छात्रों का “उ” मात्रा का श्रुतलेख लिया गया जिससे उनका मात्रा का ज्ञान सुदृढ हो सकें | छात्रों की “ए” व “ऐ” मात्रा से पहचान हुई और उनके शब्दकोष में वृद्धि हुई | MATH Students were introduced to the concept of Multiplication as repeated addition by using Judo Gyan blocks. The common properties of multiplication were discussed, where the product remains same irrespective of the numbers changing the order.Group method of multiplication was taught to memorize multiplication facts and to form multiplication equation using the method. Students played Bingo game to memorize multiplication tables in a fun way. They played with playdough balls and formed the multiplication arrays. They also practiced word problems in their notebooks. EVS In sync with the theme of the month, ‘Food’, students shared their knowledge about various types of food during quality circle time. They discussed about the sources of food. They wrote about their favourite food item and its ingredients and then they discussed its health benefits. Students were divided into 5 food groups and each group sorted the pictures of their group food items. Students were taught about the basic food manners during the lunch break. They also understood the importance of washing hands before and after meal. ICT The students learnt about the computer keyboard, different types of keys – Alphabet keys, Number keys, Special keys. They applied their understanding by practicing using these keys to type few lines on Word Pad. They also compared different keyboards like the piano, the harmonium and the computer keyboard. The students used tux typing software to play games in which they had to match the letters. WESTERN MUSIC In the month of September the students learnt Name of the song: ‘’If you happy and you know it” composed by Hillsong kids Instruments played: guitar, Piano Exercises done: Vocal warm up with Musical alphabet (Musical Solfa) INDIAN MUSIC In the month of September students learnt Name of the song: Rain song “jumping in a puddle”, ‘Sa sai sang” . Instruments played: Combination of Harmonium, Tabla, Tanpura, Markas, Swartarang. Sangeet 4all activities : Vocal warm up with sargam in different scales , Animal choir group singing, sa re ga body game, AaOo Umm Chanting. DANCE Students learnt basics of Kathak dance form. They learnt how to emote different gestures, posture, mood through body language and facial expressions. They also learnt tatkaar (basic footwork), Hastak (basic hand-movements ) of kathak. Apart from that they have learnt the choreography on Guru vanadana “ Gurur brahma, gurur Vishnu, gururdevomaheshwara, gurursaakshaatparabrahma, tasmaishriguruvenamah” DRAMA Students learnt various forms of acting in drama classes, like mood, gesture, posture facial expressions , Laugh, anger, sadness by help of story and their characters such as the little Mice and the Big Elephant , The Lion and the woodcutter ,The wise Crab. Also introduce Drama games so students understand more about Drama LIFE SKILLS Students were assessed on their coping skills associated with safety in different situations. This was done in a worksheet post discussion. The worksheet shared with the students helped them to develop understanding of the safe and unsafe measures. This helped them make informed decision on the right decision to protect themselves. PHYSICAL EDUCATION CO-ORDINATION,SWIMMING AND GYMNASTICS 1. Students did exercises related to co-ordination. 2. Marching drills (On the spot, mark time mark). 3. Calisthenic exercises in group with music. 4. Swimming - Students are learning breathing, floating and kicking 5. Gymnastics - legs opening (sideways and front ways), jump with turn 360 degree and above. ROBOTICS
Unit Topic : Float or Sink Activity 1 : Density of Liquid : - A Density tower was made to Understand that some liquids will sink and some will float in water. Activity 2 : Density of object : - Students explored about the properties of an object and understood which object sinks and which floats. This was done using different objects, different material, different sizes and different weight.
